Musicians

DANIEL VIKTOR

Vocalist Daniel Viktor joined the band in 2017, after recording vocals on their album Elements of Existence. In contrast to the classical metal and traditional progressive metal roots of Circadian Pulse, Daniel’s musical background is more so in the contemporary Alternative Prog region. He does however draw from a range of influences and incorporates a variety of styles in his singing with versatility. This has made for a successful addition of Daniel’s voice to the Circadian Pulse sound.

SIMON D’ALFONSO

Melbourne born and bred, bassist Simon dabbled with some local bands in his early years before starting Circadian Pulse at the beginning of 2008. He got into music after discovering the brilliance of Queen, got into metal after discovering the brilliance of Pantera and got into Prog Metal after discovering the brilliance of Dream Theater. Some of his other favourite/influential bands include Fates Warning, Queensryche, Symphony X, Threshold and Faith No More. His most significant bassists include Billy Sheehan, Victor Wooten, Stu Hamm and John Myung. He plays Ibanez basses and uses Mark bass amplification.

STEVE STERGIADIS

Steve joined the band in 2009 as Circadian Pulse sought another guitarist. Like Simon, he also previously played in the band Anarion and that is how they came to know each other. Some of his favourite/influential bands include Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Myrath, Metallica, Megadeth and Circus Maximus. Some of his favourite/influential guitarists include John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Slash and Mats Haugen.

BZEN BYANJANKAR

Originally from Nepal, Bzen fuses his native musical traditions with his international influences. He was Circadian Pulse’s first proper guitarist and joined the band in 2008. Some of his favourite rock/metal bands are Iron Maiden, Mr. Big and Extreme though he is also heavily influenced by the jazz/fusion traditions. His favourite/influential guitarists include John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Greg Howe, Allan Holdsworth, Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Gambale, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson.
