“A Brave New World” is, for its part, in the direct vein of the catchy tunes that Monolyth offers to its audience. A little further, “Re- awake” reminds that there’s no use regretting one’s past, the only important thing being reconnecting fully to one’s true wills. The 12 tracks of this brand new album show the band’s maturity and carve the new line-up’s work in stone.

About A Bitter End / A Brave New World : Engineered by The Damage Room Studio (Philadelphia, PA), A Bitter End / A Brave New World starts with “The Ego Disaster” and its heady intro. The guitar work already leads the way to the whole album. Then comes “This Pale Imitation of Guilt”, that promises crazy live shows. “Betrayed Again” is the first single off the album.

A music video has been released on September 6th. Then come the two title tracks of the album, “A Bitter End” and “A Brave New World” : contrary to the idea its title suggests, “A Bitter End” shows a new face of the band’s personality, slowing down the tempo halfway from the album with a power balad.

Formed in 2006 in Northern France, the band quickly found its way, releasing two 3-title demos of Melodic Death Metal, inspired by Scandinavian highlights such as Soilwork, In Flames or The Haunted.

Writing runs fast, and “Catch the Sun”, the first full-length, is released in 2007. After a short break and line-up changes during which a 3-songs EP is released, the band is back for good.

Between 2013 and 2015, Monolyth hits the road again, and enters the Parisian scene thanks to the 2014/2015 season of Headbang Contest. May 2015, the band gets the privilege to share the stage with the mighty Gojira !

In 2016, Batt, Tristan and Fafa join the band, and Monolyth puts an end to the writing of the 12 songs of “A Bitter End / A Brave New World”. This brand new line-up plays a dozen live shows this year, and goes on its first tour ever, alongside Blaakyum, No Return, Mors Principium Est and Onslaught.

2017 is marked by the enthusiastic response to Monolyth’s live performance, and the beginning of the recording sessions for the new album. They play Castel Metal Fest (with Herrschaft, Deliverance, Doppelganger etc...), Bus Palladium with Wevern, Serenius and Nemost, and also MetalAnimals Fest with When Reasons Collapse, Absurdity and T.A.N.K. for instance.

Monolyth begins 2018 with a gig in La Boule Noire (Paris) alongside ACYL and Lutèce, before going on tour again with Deus Ex Machina. At the end of this trip, they finish the recording of “A Bitter End / A Brave New World”.

On September 6th of 2018, the band unleashes a music video for the song "Betrayed Again". The album is released on September 25th, and is distributed by Season of Mist. Monolyth is back and willing to leave a trace with powerful riffs and overwhelming melodies.
