ROBAR is a alternative rock/metal project of an independent musician Roman Barbun based in Melbourne, Australia.

Originally from Ukraine, Roman began his musical journey roughly 13 years ago. His talent was soon noticed by a few touring bands with whom he extensively toured around Europe. After several years of playing in bands and being a session musician Roman decided to focus on his own music.

This is when he started uploading his videos to YouTube - the feedback exceeded any expectations. He quickly realised the growing role of the internet which created new opportunities for young, independent and enthusiastic artists. Being a self-taught musician, Roman has built a decent recognition under the nickname “ROBAR” by posting guitar covers, lessons and his original compositions. The original work has subsequently been shaped into a project called ROBAR.

One of the concepts behind ROBAR is collaboration with other musicians all over the world. So far the project released songs featuring such notable musicians as Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, Soilwork, Devin Townsend etc.), Guillaume Bideau (Mnemic, One-Way Mirror), Travis Orbin (Darkest Hour, Periphery), Dylan Taylor (Black Light Burns), Brian Lenington (I-Exist), Torcha (A Broken Silence), Anup Sastry (Skyharbor, Marty Friedman, Monuments), Q-Unique (Stillwell, Kings Bounty), Ferry van der Woude (Life's Electric) and others.
